ICM MODELS 35475 WWII GERMAN STAFF CAR "KAPITAN SALOON" 1/35 SCALE
DESCRIPTION:
The Opel passenger car was made in the middle of Opel’s prewar model range. In 1938 most of the cars made by Opel were requisitioned and used as personal transport for officers of the Wehrmacht and Luftwaffe. There were about 25370 cars produced of which 17140 were of the 4 door, closed top style. These cars were used on both the East and West fronts up to the end of the war.
FEATURES:
ICM’s Saloon car kit is made up of 115 tan plastic parts and 16 clear plastic parts. All are very well molded and no flash is present. The kit features a full engine that has incredible detail. The body can be built with all of the doors and hood opened. This is really nice as the interior detail is great. The grill is molded with some of the most delicate slats that I have seen on a plastic kit. The detail rivals photo etch! One other really nice detail on this kit is that ICM has molded the headlights with bulbs in them and they will be visible after placing the clear lenses over them! Nice touch!
Decals are provided for 4 vehicles. They are:
Germany 1940 in gloss black
Russia, Winter 1942 in white
Russia, Summer 1943 in Dark Yellow
Italy, Summer 1943 in Dark Yellow with Green splotches
Test fitting of the main body panels shows that fit is really good. No problems that I can see on this one
