The Elco 80ft PT boat is a high-speed torpedo boat deployed and operated by the US Navy during World War II.
The PT boat, a patrol torpedo boat developed by the American Electric Launch Corporation, known as ELCO,
was the largest type of PT boat deployed by the US Navy during World War II. The total length is 80 feet, the displacement is 51 tons, the engine is equipped with three Packard gasoline engines, and the maximum speed is 41 knots. A total of 326 ships have been built and are active in the Pacific Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea.
The PT-109, which was the captain of Kennedy, who later became President of the United States, is one of them.
