ICM MODEL 32063 BELL AH-1G COBRA or HUEY COBRA "ARCTIC COBRA" 1/32 SCALE
DESCRIPTION:
The AH-1 was rapidly developed as an interim gunship in response to the United States Army's needs in the Vietnam War. It used the same engine, transmission and rotor system of the Bell UH-1 Iroquois, which had already proven itself to be a capable platform during the conflict, but paired it with a redesigned narrow fuselage among other features. The original AH-1, being a dedicated attack helicopter, came equipped with stub wings for various weapons, a chin-mounted gun turret, and an armored tandem cockpit, from which it was operated by a pilot and gunner.
FEATURES:
This review is dedicated to ICM 1/32 AH-1G Arctic Cobra (32063). Kit comes as yet another version of the big scale helicopter from Ukrainian model manufacturer. Note that this time we get a chance to copy aircraft which were based in Alaska. There are also few additional parts specific for this particular version. Packaging is typical, all frames come in the same resealable plastic bag. There are 241 parts which should assemble into a model with 442mm length.
