This new version of the R9 MM is capable of running both ACCST protocol and the new ACCESS protocol by flashing different firmware (using the radio). It comes flashed with ACCESS. Please let us know if you'd like it flashed to ACCST for use with standard R9 Modules.
The R9 MM OTA offers non-inverted S.Port outputs (as well as inverted). Why? F4 processors can't handle inverted signals. There's usually an inverter on the SBUS input but that's often the only one. In those cases the solution for S.Port telemetry has been to set up soft serial to handle the inverted output. The non-inverted output from the R9 MM can be connected to any UART. Note that F3 and F7 boards don't have this issue - they can invert internally. The 900MHz R9 MM-OTA receiver implements the ACCESS protocol and brings the user improved performance and features.
(ACCESS only) The R9 MM-OTA supports wireless firmware updates over the air making binding to receivers even easier. As well as the convenience of checking the current receiver firmware version. The R9 MM’s compact form factor design is also carried over to the OTA version, and the R9 MM-OTA supports inverted S.Port as well.
