This AMT MODEL:
This was first issued NEW TOOL in 1972. It's amazing to see how good
the body shape is. This kit has stood the test of time very well. This is a NOVA SS
or the SUPER SPORT.
The REAL CARS:
SS was always the top of the line for the body. The NOVA SS had a twelve bolt rear
end with the GM Pos-a-track limited slip differential. The rear suspension was
multi-leaf with a rear sway bar too. The fronts suspension was heavy duty of
course; including a front sway bar. The engine was either the 350 cu.( SMALL BLOCK aka MOUSE MOTOR) or the 396 Mark Four series engine. (RAT MOTOR)
In 1970-1972 the NOVA body had the sweetest lines. A nice, solid Muscle Car from Chevrolet. What a sweet machine!
